We have officially now entered into our Winter Wonderland - the snow is fabulous and over 2 feet deep! Within just a few hours many of you could be skiing, snowshoeing, sledding or just sitting in an easy chair, relaxing with a hot cider and enjoying our woodburning fireplace! Family Fridays at Bromley Mountain Ski Area
Bromley Mountain is just 20 minutes away and is a great, family friendly mountain. If you are a family who likes to ski, they have a special for you! Two parents and two kids can ski at Bromely for only $108 on most Fridays this winter (December 4, 11, 18; January 8, 22 & 29; March 5, 12, 19 & 26). So...
*Book your Thursday night and your room with a full breakfast for four will be just $130 and you can ski all day on Friday! Stay for one or two additional Weekend nights for only $175 per night.

Family Fun Weekend - March 12 - 13
Come with the whole family, spend a weekend of fun and frolick. Start off the weekend with dinner and games for the entire family. Saturday, after your hearty breakfast, enjoy the beautiful wintery wonderland hiking or snowshoeing our trails and visiting our alpacas while feeding them an apple treat. Return to the Inn at 1:00 for lunch, sledding and bonfire with all the traditional hot goodies! Parents! the babysitters will arrive at 6:00 so you may enjoy a candlelit dinner while your children are having a party complete with pizza and a movie. Weekend packages starting at $265.00 per night for a family of four!

Maple Sugaring Weekend - March 26 - 28
The snow is still deep and the nights remain brisk. But out in the sugarbush, there are signs that winter is loosening its grip. The sap is starting to run. Every state has its claim to fame, but there's none sweeter than Vermont's position as America's maple syrup capital. The same trees that ignite the hillsides each autumn, herald the arrival of spring with the sound of a slow drip...drip...drip. During Vermont's official Maple Open House Weekend, our sugar makers take time out from their busy work of making the sweet stuff to explain how its done and, perhaps, give out some free samples....
The Ninth Annual Vermont Maple Open House Weekend will be held at sugarhouses throughout Vermont, March 26-28, 2010. The Open House Weekend is the public celebration of the maple syrup season in Vermont and an opportunity for the public to visit one or more "sugarhouses" throughout the state. Activities during Open House Weekend will be different at each sugarhouse but will include the opportunity to watch maple syrup being made (weather permitting) and often sample maple products. We will be boiling up some old-time Kettle Syrup ourselves for a Sugar on Snow party Saturday afternoon!

Tour of the Battenkill Cycling Races- April 9-10 & April 16-18
The Tour of the Battenkill is 62 mile race (124 miles for the Professional Invitational!) around the Battenkill Valley, passing through the Towns of Cambridge, White Creek, Jackson, Salem, Easton, Greenwich , the Villages of Cambridge, Shushan, Salem and Greenwich, and then ending back in Cambridge near the historic Green Bridge.

Work Week - May 3 - May 7
Do you like to paint, paper or sew? Do you like to garden, rake or putter? Come and work with us for at least 4 hours per day and your lodging and breakfast will be your pay during Work Week! We are always in need of some helping hands in the Spring as we are getting ready for the season to start and it is fun to work together!

Three of the best-known Singer-Songwriters in the Northeast will be playing exclusively and intimately for our overnight guests!
This will be an inclusive event, participants must sign on for all three nights and only people staying here at the Inn will be allowed into the shows, which will be held in our living room.
In addition to authoring five solo albums of her own, Lori McKenna grabbed huge national acclaim a few years ago when Faith Hill included three of Lori's songs on her album, "Fireflies" ("Fireflies" being a Lori McKenna song). Faith's husband Tim McGraw has also covered one of Lori's tunes and Lori was a featured guest on the Oprah Winfrey Show! Lori can be found on myspace at: http://www.myspace.com/lorimckenna
Mark Erelli has also made a name for himself in the acoustic music world with his, to date, seven solo albums. This past year saw Mark named as one of the co-winners of the prestigious Darwin Awards in England where he participated in a songwriting exercise commemorating the 150th anniversary of Charles Darwins' birth. Mark is a Kerrville Folk Festival "New Folk" award winner and has also, in addition to his own solo duties, been the guitarist in Lori McKennas' band for a few years now. The name Tracy Grammer came to most fans attention when she worked with her late partner, Dave Carter, in the hugely successful duo of Dave Carter and Tracy Grammer. The duo released three extremely successful albums while Dave was alive, and Tracy has released one more disc full of duo songs since Daves' untimely passing. Tracy has gone on to carve out a wonderful solo career for herself, bringing Dave Carters' songs wherever she goes, as well as her own unique takes on tunes written by some of our best known songwriters. The idea for these three nights of music is that all three singers will share the "stage" each night. This will be one of the best "songwriters in the round" you will ever see. Mark is one of the finest guitarists around and Tracy will come armed with her guitar, mandolin, and violin.
Each will back up the other when there's a place for them to slip in and sing or play a background harmony. None of these three has ever done anything even remotely like this and we are truly in for a "once in a lifetime" event.
